A recent example is a hand-built marble sanctuary furnishing (shown in the photos)—a custom stone pedestal used in a church setting. It isn’t a “countertop” in the typical kitchen sense, but it is still precision stone fabrication and installation.
If you’re looking for a better umbrella term than “countertops,” many churches refer to these as liturgical furnishings or sanctuary furnishings (made from stone).
